Romaric Etonde’s (18) loan move to Belgian side Cercle Brugge has been cut short. The Frenchman has already returned to parent club AS Monaco.
Since his summer move to Cercle Brugge, Monaco’s satellite club, Etonde has found game time difficult to come by, featuring just three times and accumulating just 16 minutes of first-team football. It has therefore been decided that the striker’s development would benefit from a return to the Principality club, where he will re-integrate, the Groupe Élite, Monaco’s youth side.
Get French Football News understands that Etonde has already returned to Monaco, and he could even feature against Cercle Brugge, who are currently in Monaco on a mid-season training camp and face Les Monégasques’ Groupe Élite on Saturday in La Turbie. It is not expected that Etonde will leave again on loan this season. Etonde, who signed his first professional contract in the summer upon his arrival from Paris Saint-Germain, will therefore remain with Damien Perrinelle’s development group.
