Roy Keane has revealed the one advantage Arsenal have over Manchester City and Liverpool in the Premier League title race. Last weekend, the Gunners picked up a huge three points against Liverpool which put them back in the fight for the league, however since then Jurgen Klopp's side have made that five-point deficit return with Man City also picking up two wins.
Last season, Arsenal were in an intense title race against Man City and it's fair to say Mikel Arteta's side have not let that disappointment affect them. In the summer, Declan Rice, Kai Havertz, Jurrien Timber and David Raya all arrived to bolster the squad at Emirates Stadium with one signing already proving to be a marquee transfer.
In midfield, the addition of Rice has greatly helped the Gunners defensively but his impact in an attacking third has also been noticed. Of the three goals Rice has scored in the Premier League this season, four points have been won as a result with his strike at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea also starting a comeback.
When discussing Arsenal's title chances, Keane seemed to suggest that the 24-year-old — who netted in Sunday's 6-0 thrashing of old side West Ham — will need to play a huge role if they are to beat Liverpool and Man City to the title. «I think we’ll find out over the next couple of months,» he said on Sky Sports. «They’re more equipped than last year, we mentioned Rice earlier, and they’re more physically equipped to make a run for it.
»They just came up short last year both physically and mentally and we remember the game last year when they were 2-0 up over West Ham, perhaps cruising, and then gave the goals away but time will tell over the next few months. If I was in Arsenal’s camp, you’d be quietly confident thatRead on football.london
