Ryan Gravenberch says that Jurgen Klopp's final piece of advice to him before making his full Liverpool debut was to just be himself.
The Dutchman, who signed for the Reds from Bayern Munich in a deal worth up to £40m on deadline day, was forced to wait to feature for his new club until after the recent international break.
He was brought on as a stoppage time substitute to see out the Premier League win at Molineux last Saturday before being handed his first start for the Europa League group opener in Linz last night.
Repaying Klopp's decision in full, he marked the occasion by assisting Luis Diaz's goal that completed the turnaround in the second half. The 21-year-old also created five chances, drew four fouls - top for the team in both categories - as well as making eight ball recoveries before being substituted.

"For sure [I enjoyed it]. We didn't start so well but we had the mentality to turn it around again. I was very happy," he said in assessment of the match to the club's Youtube channel. "For myself it was good but also sloppy sometimes, I have to work on that and the rest was okay."
"They did it [close down the spaces] good, but also on our side we had to do it better because we had two sixes and I'm higher on the pitch. We have to do it better and I think then we'll do good."
The No.38 also touched on his goal contribution, saying: "I think I saw the space behind, Harvey [Elliott] got the ball and played it to me. I saw Lucho in my corner [of my eye] and it was a nice cross. Great finish as well."
