Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou will approach Saturday's match against Brighton with what might just be his strongest squad of players since the start of the season.
Postecoglou has had to deal with a big injury crisis at the club, suspended players and those away on international duty, which has left him needing to pick mostly the same players each week. Now, the Australian finally appears to have a near full squad to select his team from to face Roberto De Zerbi's men at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and Spurs will be looking to get revenge for the 4-2 defeat at the Amex Stadium in December.
We asked our Tottenham reporters Alasdair Gold and Rob Guest to name the Spurs team they think Postecoglou might go for, before any late fitness tests.
Postecoglou is practically spoiled for choice this weekend with the return of captain Son Heung-min and Yves Bissouma back from the Asian Cup and Africa Cup of Nations respectively, following Pape Matar Sarr's return last week.
Son played on Tuesday in South Korea's semi-final defeat to Jordan and had a long flight home to London before returning to training on Thursday. It's a quick turnaround the the Spurs skipper but he may well just want to get that defeat out of his system. For Bissouma, the midfielder tested positive for malaria early in the competition and his fitness will have to also be assessed.
If Son returns to the starting line-up then Timo Werner might have to start on the bench for the first time since moving to Spurs but it does mean that he and potentially Brennan Johnson or Dejan Kulusevski will provide gamechangers from among the substitutes, which is something Postecoglou has been lacking.
