Sir Kenny Dalglish has offered advice to whoever succeeds Jurgen Klopp as the next Liverpool manager - and issued a warning over the search for a sporting director.
Klopp announced in January that he would be stepping down from the hole as Reds boss at the end of the season. Xabi Alonso at Bayer Leverkusen and Ruben Amorim at Sporting CP have been listed as the early favourites for the future vacancy at Anfield.
Liverpool also have the task of searching for a new sporting director at the same time as a manager. Jorg Schmadtke left the club after the January transfer window, and now the Fenway Sports Group will be busy looking to appoint a replacement.
Dalglish appeared on the No Tippy Tappy Podcast and was asked about Liverpool's search for a new manager and sporting director. When asked for his thoughts on appointing a sporting director first, Dalglish says it's not something he agrees with.
"People do it in different ways," said Dalglish. "They bring in a sporting director first and then they bring the manager in.
"No for me, it would be the other way around."

Dalglish then went on to give his opinion on Klopp's decision to leave Liverpool. The Anfield icon said that he and other Reds fans will be supportive of Klopp's decision, even if there is sadness at the prospect of an exit in the summer.
"Although it was a huge disappointment among the Liverpool fans that this is going to be his [Klopp] final season, there is huge amount of gratitude towards him and acceptance," said Dalglish.
