BEIN Sports Carrie Brown has admitted she was a 'little surprised' by Erik ten Hag's response to his side's defeat to West Ham during their post-post interview.
The Red Devils' dismal season continued with a 2-0 defeat to West Ham at the London Stadium on Saturday, Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus getting the goals in the second half.
United had the better chances in the first half but were made to pay for their wastefulness.
Speaking to Brown after the game, Ten Hag said: 'I think we controlled the game, and we gave West Ham United nothing,'
'We were so dominant in the build-up, and we created chances also in the transition. I think the first three chances of the game were ours; we have to take them.'
He added: It was a solid performance, but we didn't net. And I think we controlled the game. You win the game if you score the goal.'
Brown then challenged his view, asking whether he really thought it was a good United performance, and Ten Hag doubled down.
'Yes, I think we were totally in control in and out of possession,' the under-fire Dutchman continued.
'I think we probably gave the opponent nothing until the 72nd minute, [then there was] one moment of switching off.'
And Brown has taken to Twitter to give her thoughts on the exchange, writing: 'understandably I was a little surprised by this take' and asking United fans for their thoughts.
