Pochettino sacking stance
Chelsea continue to back Mauricio Pochettino through a tough spell as manager despite the 2-0 defeat to Everton on Sunday. The Blues have now been beaten three times in the past four games since the November international break and have won just once in the last five.
It leaves Pochettino stranded in the bottom half and sinking by the week. However, football.london understands that the 51-year-old is being supported and that he retains the confidence of those around him.
Pochettino is Chelsea's fourth manager of 2023 with Bruno Saltor, Frank Lampard and Graham Potter having already overseen matches during what has been a disastrous first full year in charge for Todd Boehly-Clearlake Capital. Current noises don't suggest that number is set to get any bigger just yet.
