Tottenham suffer fresh Brennan Johnson injury concern in West Ham clash

Tottenham Hotspur suffered a worrying injury blow on Tuesday night as Brennan Johnson was forced off against West Ham United at the London Stadium.

Ange Postecoglou's men failed to move into the Premier League top four places against their London rivals as they were held to a 1-1 draw.

Johnson added to his goal against Luton Town at the weekend in the opening stages at the London Stadium when he diverted Timo Werner's low cross into the back of the net from close range. Kurt Zouma levelled the scoring after 19 minutes and that's how the contest finished.

In the 90th minute, Johnson was replaced by Giovani Lo Celso. The Wales international headed straight down the tunnel after coming off to spark a fresh injury concern for Postecoglou.

Johnson has appeared 30 times for Spurs since moving from Nottingham Forest in the summer. His goal against West Ham was his fifth in the Premier League this season.

The winger was seen with a bandaged knee during his interview on TNT Sport following the game. When asked about it, Johnson said: «It's all good, I think. It's just from a corner. I'm not sure who it was but I got a kick in my knee and it stiffened up a bit. But it’s fine, I’m good.»
