Tottenham team confirmed vs West Ham - Van de Ven, Bentancur and Johnson start, Kulusevski out
Ange Postecoglou has made three changes in naming the Tottenham Hotspur team that he believes can beat West Ham United on the road for the first time in almost half a decade.
Postecoglou's side overcame Luton Town 2-1 on Saturday at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with just two days in between to recover for a London derby against David Moyes' Hammers, who let a 3-1 lead slip to lose 4-3 at Newcastle at the weekend. Spurs have not won away at West Ham since 2019 in Jose Mourinho's first game at the north London club and a win would put the pressure on Aston Villa, who travel to Manchester City on Wednesday.
Micky van de Ven comes back into the team after being an unused substitute on Saturday, having recovered from his hamstring injury, and replaces Radu Dragusin.
Postecoglou has decided to bring Brennan Johnson into his starting line-up after another impressive showing from the bench against Luton. Dejan Kulusevski was taken off at half-time for the Wales international and he makes way for the Wales international.
The Tottenham boss reported that there were no new injuries from the Luton victory and that Richarlison is now able to start matches but he remains on the bench. Rodrigo Bentancur does come in to give Pape Matar Sarr a rest though.
