A verdict in the Premier League finance case against Forest is expected in the coming days while the conclusion of Everton’s case will be known in the next month. Both clubs will have the opportunity to appeal, potentially casting doubt over what the final rulings will be that could extend beyond the end of the season.
Significant punishments would be required to offer Burnley real hope of having a say in the fight, but with so much unclear, Kompany said his side retains belief after the battling win against 10-men Brentford.
