The Spanish football world is divided between those who believe that the refereeing by Hernandez Maeso was good at the Santiago Bernabeu and those who do not. Among the latter is Mediapro founder Jaume Roures.
Speaking on 'Cadena SER', he claimed that Hernandez Hernandez made a mistake when taking the images in relation to the goal allowed to Vinicius.
"What I want to say is that the images of Vinicius' goal, in which you can see that he hit him in the arm and there is no argument, were bad takes. The replay from a frontal shot makes it clear that he hit it with his arm. I don't get involved with other plays because I think this one is the key, the others can be more debatable, such as a foul on Bellingham or the raised arm," said Roures.
The founder of 'Mediapro' explained how VAR works in Spain: "The images from all the cameras are sent. In a Real Madrid match there must be around twenty-something cameras. Then the VAR, the operators on the screen and the referees decide how to use them.
"All the signals are sent live, there is no editing. As all the cameras capture images, they are sent to the VAR."
