The same applied on Wednesday evening as Willian's opener was cancelled out by goals from Curtis Jones and Cody Gakpo, ensuring the tie is in Liverpool's hands as they await the second leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final.
The Reds now have a brief period to rest and recuperate following the Fulham win and are not in action until January 21 against Bournemouth. This is due to the Premier League's winter break, which sees clubs given a weekend off after a hectic festive period.
