Liverpool are set to learn their Europa League opponents when the group stage draw takes place today.
Despite ending last season with a run of 11 games unbeaten, Jurgen Klopp’s side were always in a race against time to grab a Champions League place. This will be the first time Liverpool have competed in the Europa League since reaching the final in 2016 during the manager’s first season in charge.
The Reds have been placed in pot one and will be joined in the draw by Brighton and West Ham, with the latter qualifying as Conference League winners. However, Liverpool will not be drawn against another English team in the group stage.

There are still another 20 teams vying to be part of the draw, with the final play-off games taking place on Thursday night.
