Popular retailer John Lewis has officially unveiled its highly anticipated Christmas advert for 2023 featuring star of the show - Snapper the Venus flytrap.

The advert, which launched this morning (Thursday November 9), has a theme of celebrating both old and new festive traditions. In the new Christmas campaign, we see a young boy who grows Snapper the Venus flytrap who brings an unexpected twist to Christmas celebrations.

After causing too much mayhem in the house, Snapper is cast outside in the cold and ice. After a tear-jerking scene, the flytrap is embraced back into the family on Christmas family where it helps open the presents to create a new adorable Christmas tradition.

Each year John Lewis brings out a wide range of merchandise for its Christmas advert theme. From cosy Christmas pyjamas to plush soft Snapper the Venus flytrap toys for the little ones - there's plenty to choose from this Christmas.
