The Good Catch, Formby - Kate Lally
You know a chippy is good when it's nowhere near a town or village's centre but still manages to have people queuing outside at lunchtime on a Monday. Unless you're getting the train to or from the beach, The Good Catch in Formby is a bit out the way, but it's definitely worth the trip.
The battered fish is incredible, tasty without being greasy, and not sickly like some chip shops' efforts can be - and their curry sauce is the perfect dipping accompaniment. But my go-to order is one that will likely go down as blasphemy with many chippy lovers.
