Ange Postecoglou confirms new Tottenham injury worry ahead of Crystal Palace clash

Tottenham Hotspur boss Ange Postecoglou has delivered a fresh fitness update ahead of his side's trip to Crystal Palace on Friday evening.

The Lilywhites continued their impressive start to the season with a 2-0 victory against Fulham on Monday, with both Son Heung-min and James Maddison on target in north London. There was however a moment of concern when Pape Matar Sarr was withdrawn for Oliver Skipp just after the hour mark.

Speaking at his press conference to preview tomorrow's match against the Eagles, Postecoglou provided a positive update regarding several players, as his side looks to extend their unbeaten streak in the Premier League to nine matches.

«Pape is fine — bounced back 24 hours after the game,'' said the Greek. ''Bit of an illness but has trained well. Destiny we're still going to assess. Davies missed Fulham with a knock — fair to say training teeters on the edge and he took a sore one. Everyone else has come through fine.»

With Chelsea, Manchester City and Newcastle all to come in the next month, the mettle of this Spurs side will begin to be tested and chances are the depth of Postecoglou's squad will also come under scrutiny.
