Ange Postecoglou has revealed that Manor Solomon is still a bit away from making his Tottenham return following a further procedure on his knee. Making the move to north London in the summer and making an impact in his playing time, the winger has yet to feature for the first team since the win over Liverpool at the end of September.
Facing a spell of between three and four months on the sidelines, Solomon will be looking to make his Tottenham comeback sooner rather than later. While it is a blow for the ex-Fulham man to be a few weeks away from playing for Spurs again, the team have been handed a boost on the injury front with Giovani Lo Celso having a good week on the training pitch.
Playing a key role for Postecoglou's side in November and December, the Argentina international has been out of action since coming off early in the second half during the 1-0 win over Burnley in the FA Cup at the beginning of January.
«Gio's back training with the group, so that's good. He's sort of a good training week this week,» said Postecoglou in an interview with SPURSPLAY. «Manor's had to have some further procedure on his knee, so probably a little bit away still. Sess is just continuing his rehab.»
Speaking in his press conference, Postecoglou indicated that Spurs are looking at «another two or three weeks» when it comes to Solomon.
«He had another procedure on Monday on his knee. Nothing major but we're looking at another two or three weeks for him,» he explained.
