Newcastle’s CEO, Darren Eales, spoke openly about the latest financial figures that have been released, where he discussed the possibility that the club will need to sell players if they want to be active in future transfer markets. “Correct," Eales responded when asked if every player had a price.
“The reality is that when you look at FFP, if you take a step back and look at PSR, there’s ways you can create that headroom. Player churn, it’s counterintuitive, but it’s the nature of the beat that it creates headroom. We have to approach everything on a medium-to-long-term basis, not just being reactive. We have to be minded due to PSR and FFP rules that we are compliant.”
