Arsenal made it seven straight wins in the Premier League with a 6-0 thrashing of Sheffield United on Monday night.
The visitors nearly found an opening inside the first two minutes through Bukayo Saka, who saw his close-range volley smacked against the upright.
Arsenal got the breakthrough on five minutes when Declan Rice raced to the byline and cut the ball back for captain Martin Odegaard, who calmly guided the ball into the bottom corner.
The lead was doubled in the 12th minute as Saka raced into the box and sent a low cross into the box, where Sheffield defender Jayden Bogle deflected the ball into his own net while trying to clear.
The third goal arrived three minutes later as the Gunners took advantage of some poor defending on the break as Jakub Kiwior's lay-off found Gabriel Martinelli, who slammed home from close range.
It got worse for the home side after 24 minutes when Martinelli won the ball high up the pitch before offloading to Kai Havertz, who raced clear down the left before finding the back of the net with a clinical strike.
There was time for a fifth goal before the halftime break as Saka grabbed his second assist by skipping past one challenge in the box before picking out Rice, who slotted home with a first-time strike.
Mikel Arteta's men carried that momentum into the second half and bagged a sixth goal in the 57th minute when Havertz did well to latch onto Jorginho's ball over the top before picking out Ben White for the thunderous finish.
That goal proved to be the final one, as Arteta was able to rest a few of the regulars in the latter stages, although Martinelli did pick up knock to his ankle in the only negative on the night.
