Asda has announced the introduction of a new winter breakfast deal you can get in one of its cafés, where all customers will be able to get a bowl of porridge and a hot drink completely free. The offer started on Wednesday, February 7 and is on offer to shoppers of all ages.
Asda’s initiative will run until Wednesday, March 20 and will be available from 8am to 12pm, in 205 Asda Cafés. In partnership with popular porridge brand Quaker, customers will be able to enjoy a free bowl of the breakfast item along with a cup of tea, coffee or hot chocolate, to warm up from the UK’s cold wintery weather.
The new free breakfast initiative is now one of four currently available in Asda Cafés, alongside its popular Kids Eat for £1 scheme, which has served over 3.1 million meals since its launch in June 2022. This will continue to support families as we approach half term.

Also available at Asda Café is the £1 Winter Warmers initiative for people over 60, which will run until the end of February offering soup, a bread roll and a hot drink. Asda has served over 350,000 since November.
The retailer also offers local community groups a ‘community cuppa’, which provides members with a warm and free place to meet with a free hot drink. The move comes as Asda’s latest Income Tracker reveals that despite positive improvements, disposable income remains firmly down on the values witnessed prior to the cost-of-living crisis. Compared to the peak of £246 in Q1 2021, UK-wide disposable income has fallen by 9.1%.
Asda also announced that for every customer served Quaker, it will donate ten breakfasts to FareShare. Kris
