Bayern Munich are reportedly reluctant to make Eric Dier's loan move permanent from Tottenham Hotspur.
It has been claimed that the England defender hasn't made the best impression in Germany. German outlet BILD has reported that there are doubts over whether Dier is right for their plans amid concerns that he might not be fast enough or ready to play a lot.
The 30-year-old is out of contract in the summer and has been in Bavaria since January after reuniting with former Spurs talisman Harry Kane. Dier could make his move permanent should he meet certain criteria in the deal which would see Spurs pocket £2.5million.
After a spate of poor results, scrutiny has mounted on the future of Thomas Tuchel. This week, it was confirmed that the former Chelsea manager will be leaving Munich at the end of the season as the club look to realign their sporting structure.
With the news that Tuchel will be leaving his post at the end of the campaign, Bild says some bosses at Bayern aren't sure if they should keep Dier after this season.
Despite Bayern's recent struggles, they haven't lost a single match Dier has played in. With three straight losses piling pressure on Tuchel and Bayer Leverkusen leading the table by eight points, their Bundesliga dominance is under threat.
