Bradley Barcola’s (21) performance against Real Sociedad in the Champions League could have implications for the young star’s future with the French team.
As L’Équipe reports, Didier Deschamps values player’s performances in the Champions League and Barcola’s will surely have given the manager of the French national side food for thought.
Barcola showed that his ability to terrorise defences was not limited to just Ligue 1, as on the grand stage the young winger demonstrated the intense quality that he possesses, scoring the second in PSG’s 2-0 victory over the Basque side.
And it appears not out of the question that Deschamps would consider calling up Barcola to the national team for the upcoming friendlies against Germany and Chile. Especially with Kingsley Coman (27) out with a torn ACL for the foreseeable future, and his obvious backup Christopher Nkunku’s (26) struggles with fitness since his move to Chelsea.
If Barcola can keep up his performances in the return leg of the Champions League tie and his brilliant connection with France captain, Kylian Mbappé, then he will provide Deschamps with an interesting solution to what looked like a troubling problem in attack.
