Brentford head coachThomas Frank is not taking anything for granted as his team prepares to face a struggling Burnley. Despite Burnley's tough return to the Premier League, Frank insists that his team cannot afford to be complacent when they play at Turf Moor on Saturday.
Burnley, managed by Vincent Kompany, won the Sky Bet Championship last season but have found it difficult in the top flight, suffering 20 defeats and sitting 10 points from safety.
Brentford have also had a challenging time themselves, with a recent 2-1 defeat at leaders Arsenal marking their sixth loss in eight matches.
Frank said at a press conference: «Every game in the Premier League is difficult. Obviously it is clear that Burnley have suffered we have also suffered in a period of games.
»In their last game, they played West Ham just after they (West Ham) had beat us and then won at Everton away then after it was 2-2 against Burnley, so no games are easy.
«It is a team I hugely respect. With Vincent Kompany and his coaching staff, you can clearly see what they are trying to do. So we need to be prepared and it is about us we need to perform.»
After the praise for last season's impressive promotion which saw Burnley finish with 101 points, Kompany has found himself under scrutiny after only managing three wins so far.
Frank, however, feels a lot of sympathy for any fellow coach going through a tough spell. «100 per cent I feel with all my colleagues if they are in a bad spell. It can be, and it is at times, a very lonely job,» the Danish coach said.
