Mauricio Pochettino has drastically changed the Chelsea squad since arriving as manager on July 1 with over ten players already having left Stamford Bridge on permanent deals
Some of Chelsea’s first team players have expressed concerns regarding the lack of incoming signings at Stamford Bridge despite a number of senior members leaving the club - as per Mail Sport. 11 players from last season's squad have left the club this summer including the likes of N'Golo Kante, Edouard Mendy, Kalidou Koulibaly, Mateo Kovacic, Mason Mount, Kai Havertz, Cesar Azpilicueta, Christian Pulisic, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Baba Rahman and David Datro Fofana.
football.london understands Chelsea have been locked in verbal negotiations with Brighton for the past few weeks as they push to agree a deal to sign Moises Caicedo. The Ecuador international is set to be part of the Seagulls' pre-season tour to the USA, but the player is said to be 'very unhappy' an agreement for a move to Stamford Bridge isn’t in place yet, according to Ben Jacobs.
It has also been said that Caicedo expects progress to be made this week with Chelsea yet to formally lodge their first bid. There are a number of areas in the squad that need addressing with many midfielders having left the club, whilst a new striker and goalkeeper are also under consideration.
