Mauricio Pochettino's first match in charge of the Blues sees six players make their debut for the senior side, as they take on Wrexham in the FC Series.
The Blues head coach has chosen the team he spent extensive time training on Tuesday evening at the WakeMed Soccer Park. That means a youthful XI with Jamie Cumming, Malo Gusto, Andrey Snatos, Cesare Casadei, Diego Moreira and Nicolas Jackson all making their debuts for the senior side.
Pochettino has opted for a 4231 with Trevoh Chalobah captaining the side in the heart of defence alongside Bashir Humphreys with the duo flanked by Gusto and Marc Cucurella. Ahead of them in the base of midfiel is Andrey Santos and Cesare Casadei.
Carney Chukwuemeka will be tasked with linking midfield and attack with Moreira and Maatsen providing with against Wrexham. Nicolas Jackson will lead the line having joined from Villarreal.
