Chelsea transfer news: Chelsea have confirmed the signing of Brazilian wonderkid Angelo Gabriel from Santos
Despite his age, Gabriel has plenty of experience under his belt with 129 first-team appearances since breaking into the first-team for the Brazilian club. The youngster often plays on the right wing, but is heavily left-footed and will often cut inside to cause chaos for the opposition.
Such was his promise as a young player, Gabriel became the youngest ever player to play in the Brazil national championship at just 15-years-old. Reports have claimed that the Blues have spent £13million to add the Brazilian to their ranks, who joins on a long-term contract.
Gabriel only adds to that growing list of stars that could break into the team in the near future, though questions remain over the implementation. The Athletic reports that duo Omari Hutchinson and Harvey Vale won't be part of the US pre-season tour for the Blues this summer.
Loan switches are likely to be facilitated for the pair, however there will be questions over when they may get their chance in the team if they can't in pre-season. That may only grow further if Gabriel or another new, expensive young star takes their place in the coming squad.
