Teddy Sharman-Lowe — 7
Kept Chelsea in the game during the first half with some impressive stops. He held onto an easy chance but beat away stronger efforts wide of goal. Left helpless by Williams' stray pass for the equaliser, sold well short for the penalty and even then it looked like a dive.
Sam Rak-Sakyi — 6
Looked composed but failed to play through the pitch when needed in the first half. He was the more comfortable of the two central players and grew into the match.
Produced several moments of high-quality skill to turn his man, putting one between the legs of a PSV midfielder, leaving him looking silly.
Brodi Hughes — 6
Left with plenty of space to cover on the outside and made some big last-ditch tackles. Had a tough battle against Mohamed Nassoh, who was very impressive and caused plenty of problems.
Billy Gee — 8
Excellent at cutting out chances in the centre of defence but left exposed on occasion when PSV played through Chelsea easily. The standout defender from a five-man backline.
Was a one-man wall in front of his goal at times. Several key blocks to keep his team in the game.

Dylan Williams — 5
Up and down for the former Derby man. Gave the ball away in dangerous areas on numerous occasions but also threaded Sturge and Stutter through with some exquisite passes at the same time. A mixed bag but far from his best.
Zak Sturge — 6
Really strong in a good battle against German international Armel Bella-Kotchap. Provided some good crosses for Stutter and Washington to have a run at. Him and Williams were got at going the other way
