Crusaders forward Ben Kennedy celebrates his goal against Glenavon
Crusaders celebrated their first home league win of the year with a 2-0 victory over Glenavon.
A Jude Winchester deflected strike and Ben Kennedy header fired the Crues to back to back Premiership wins for the first time since October.
Both sides had opportunities in an entertaining first half but it was the Crues who inflicted damage with a goal that came with a slice of fortune.
In the tenth minute, Winchester's drive deflected off Daniel Wallace and spun past keeper Mark Byrne.
The Lurgan Blues stopper twice foiled Paul Heatley and Adam Lecky poked two shots wide but the visitors also posed an attacking threat as Peter Campbell was foiled by Jonny Tuffey and Niall Quinn's cross shook the post.
On 54 minutes, the home side doubled their lead when Kennedy headed home from Ross Clarke's cross.
Byrne denied Jarlath O'Rourke and Jack Malone made a goal line clearance but Crusaders cruised to the deserved win.
