Diego Simeone was up to his old tricks yesterday evening after a half-hearted post-match exchange with ex-Liverpool manager, Brendan Rodgers.
Simeone was left frustrated on Wednesday night after his Atletico Madrid side were held to a 2-2 draw away at Celtic in the Champions League, a game many expected the Spanish side to win with relative ease.
Clearly frustrated by his team's ability to get the better of their Scottish opponents, the Argentine coach could be seen gesturing towards the match officials once the full-time whistle had sounded to leave Rodgers stood waiting for his opposite number to acknowledge his presence.

Simeone eventually turned to face Rodgers, though could only bring himself to quickly slap the hand of the Celtic coach before storming off down the tunnel.
Such behaviour will not come as a surprise to Liverpool supporters or Jurgen Klopp, who have been on the receiving end of similar cold treatment when going head-to-head with Atletico in Europe in recent times.
Klopp was snubbed for a handshake by Simeone after guiding the Reds to a 3-2 group stage win at the Wanda Metropolitano in October 2021, which quickly became a talking point after the game.
"The situation is clear: I want to shake his hand and he didn’t want to shake mine,” Klopp said in response to this incident. “His reaction was for sure not right but mine wasn’t too cool as well."
