The Norwegian posted a series of photos on his Instagram story, which included putting a king emoji on De Bruyne, followed by a selfie where he flexed his muscles in celebration.
And the next photo saw him post up a shot of milk, captioned: «Need a shot after that.»
It was a reference to Haaland's unique diet when he admitted that the secret weapon to his goalscoring prowess was milk.
Last year, he posted a picture of himself with two bottles of the white stuff and wrote: «Me and my secret potion.»
Haaland is expected to miss the rest of January through injury, but could be back next month.
With City chasing the title, it is a huge blow, but the return of De Bruyne will give them the belief to overtake Liverpool.
The midfield maestro took mere moments to find the back of the net after a lengthy lay-off, sliding in a precise shot past Martin Dubravka.
