Gabriel Jesus has heaped praise on Harry Kane ahead of Arsenal's clash against Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarterfinal first-leg. Mikel Arteta will welcome the Bavarians to the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night as either side hopes to crown themselves European champions.
The Gunners enjoyed a 3-0 win over Brighton at the Amex Stadium on Saturday afternoon to reclaim first place in the Premier League title race. Meanwhile, Bayern Munich will be keen to return to winning ways following a disappointing 3-2 defeat on the road to Heidenheim.
Harry Kane and Serge Gnabry fired the Bavarians ahead in the first half before the home side clawed three back after the break. Bayern Munich have lost back-to-back games in the Bundesliga and Thomas Tuchel is now under immense pressure to transform his side's fortunes.
One player that he'll be relying on to spare his blushes is the former Tottenham Hotspur striker, who's scored 14 goals in 19 games against Arsenal. Speaking to football.london ahead of the fixture, Gabriel Jesus was quizzed on Kane and the threat he poses to the Gunners.
«Everyone knows the quality of Harry Kane,» said the Brazil international. «For me, personally, he’s the best finisher in the world. So, it’s great to obviously play against these kind of players. We want to keep him quiet in the game — and then we try to win the game.
»Also, it’s not only Harry Kane, but a lot of players like [Leroy] Sane, my old friend, [Jamal] Musiala, [Kingsley] Coman, [Thomas] Muller – what a player – [Serge] Gnabry. It’s a lot. They have quality players there."
