Glenn Whelan and Brian Kerr are set to provide assistance to John O'Shea in his role as Ireland interim manager.
The FAI announced the appointment of O'Shea and Paddy McCarthy as a short term ticket earlier this week.
It was reported last night that former Irish boss Kerr is returning in an advisory capacity, over 18 years after he left the post as senior manager.
And the Irish Independent understands that O'Shea's former team-mate Glenn Whelan, a childhood pal of McCarthy, will be part of the coaching ticket for the games with Belgium and Switzerland.
A proposed media briefing involving O’Shea and FAI director of football Marc Canham scheduled for today was called off due to the adverse weather conditions.
