Jack Grealish is vowing to not let burglars drive him out of his property saying: 'I can't let the raiders win.'
The Manchester City and England ace released a statement last night admitting the impact the Boxing Day incident has had on him, his fiancé, Sasha, and his family.
But sources close to the 28-year-old say he is determined to settle in his dream home.
The source said: 'Jack will not be driven from his home. This is the home of his and Sasha's dreams and they want to live there for a long time. Jack is determined to settle there and enjoy his life with Sasha. He won't let the raiders win and has no intention of moving out.'
The vow comes as MailOnline can reveal cops are set to step up their probe following the burglary last week. Detectives are set to quiz workers who helped Grealish to move into his new Cheshire pad.
It comes in the wake of new reports today which suggest cops are working on a theory it could be an inside job.
MailOnline revealed days ago how police are looking into claims delivery drivers could have been followed in the days before and after the raid.
The source said: 'Those removal workers could hold vital clues. There's no suggestion they were involved in this. But police want to ask them about anything suspicious or strange they might have seen. They will be asked for a statement as part of the investigation in the coming days.'
Neighbours living close to Grealish have also been spoken to by police and given statements.
