Harry Kane corrected after making awkward faux pas when praising Bayern teammate Manuel Neuer
Harry Kane made a slight faux pas when heaping praise on Bayern Munich teammates and goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.
Bayern secured a 3-0 victory over Hoffenheim on Friday night in the Bundesliga.
Jamal Musiala netted twice, and Harry Kane scored in the 90th minute to record his 22nd goal of the season so far.
The former Tottenham star was interviewed post-match and asked about shot-stopper Neuer.
«We both train together, and there are a few keepers, of course, that we play against.
»It is good for me, and Manu, I am training against one of the best goalkeepers in the world.
«Obviously, he is trying to save some of my shots; he is a fantastic goalkeeper and a great leader in the dressing room as well.
»As I said, we are really pleased we have him; hopefully he does not have to make too many saves, but the more he does, we are very grateful."
The reporter then cheekily corrected Kane, replying: «You're at Bayern, you have to say he [Manuel Neuer] is the best in the world.»
Kane then said: «He is the best in the world.»
Bayern are second in the Bundesliga standings with 41 points, four behind leaders Bayer Leverkusen.
The Bavarians have lost just one of their 16 league games so far and take on Werder Bremen in their next domestic clash on January 21.
