Tottenham transfer news: Harry Kane's immediate future continues to be a trending topic following meetings involving Daniel Levy and Ange Postecoglou
Despite just one year remaining on his contract, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is expected to seek a significantly higher proposal before even considering a summer sale. However, the German champions could have made progress in their pursuit after Levy met with Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen to discuss Kane, according to Bild journalist Christian Falk.
The Athletic also added the meeting was in London over breakfast but saw no exact price tag given by Tottenham with Kane named in the 31-man squad heading to Australia for a pre-season tour.
The 29-year-old is remaining open-minded over his future with an immediate transfer to Bayern, a move away when his contract expires next summer or an extension to stay at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium all seen as possible outcomes. However, a few new options look to have come to light.
According to a new report from The Independent, Paris Saint-Germain are now looking at hijacking a move for Kane. The French club had cooled their long-standing interest after learning it would be unlikely that the England international moves abroad, but after seeing Bayern's advances have renewed encouragement he could join them instead.
The report also interestingly notes that Manchester United is Kane's favoured destination, but a move to Old Trafford this summer is seen as highly unlikely, similar to that of a move to Chelsea which would see a reunion between Kane and former boss Mauricio Pochettino.
