Arsene Wenger has claimed that while he understands Jurgen Klopp's decision to leave Liverpool, the German may 'regret' leaving Anfield too soon with the Arsenal legend admitting that he misses the 'intensity' of being the Gunners' manager.
Klopp shocked the world of football in January by announcing that he will leave Anfield at the end of the season. Klopp has been with Liverpool for nine trophy-laden years, winning the Premier League, FA Cup, Carabao Cup, Champions League and Europa League on Merseyside.
Liverpool could still win four trophies this season — the Premier League, Europa League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup — to give Klopp the perfect send-off. However, Klopp explained his decision to leave while Liverpool are a real force again by admitting he is 'running out of energy' and 'cannot do the job again and again and again and again'.
Wenger knows all about the hard work of the Premier League. He was at Arsenal for 22 years before he left, just like Klopp, with time still on his contract. Even though it was tough at the end of his time at Arsenal, Wenger cannot relate to Klopp's tiredness in the role.
«I never felt like that,» Wenger told beIN Sport. «I respect what he did. I thought he was very good in the press conference.»
Wenger, who now works for FIFA, was then asked if being a manager is more stressful now than when he was a coach — and the Arsenal icon thinks it depends on the person, not just the job.
