Ange Postecoglou's Tottenham team is already young enough as it is but there are still plenty of talented youngsters working away to become the next star in his set-up.
The average age of Spurs' starting XI this season has been just 24.9, the fourth youngest in the Premier League behind Chelsea (24.3), Burnley (24.5) and Arsenal (24.6). So Postecoglou is not afraid to use younger players and with the club's injury problems mounting during this campaign so his bench has often contained academy players.
So with that in mind, here are just some of the young players — aged 20 years and under — who we believe will be looking to make an impact this season, either on Postecoglou, within the club or out on loan.
Just when the Argentine seemed to be building up a little head of steam — Veliz made eight appearances and scored his first Premier League goal — a painful knee injury has ruled him out for a couple of months.
The 20-year-old had only got 42 minutes to his name across those eight first team appearances but you could see he was a handful for opposition defences.
When he gets fit and continues to adapt to Postecoglou's demands, Veliz could develop quickly in 2024 and might even get a loan move in order to play week in, week out next season to continue his development.
