Arsenal midfielder Jorginho might be saying goodbye to the Gunners and reuniting with his old boss this summer. The Italian's contract is up at the end of the season and he could leave on a free.
Jorginho swapped Chelsea for Arsenal just a year ago and has impressed in a title-chasing Gunners side in the absence of Thomas Partey. He's been a star player in Arsenal's amazing run of games since the winter break, especially against big teams like Liverpool and Newcastle United.
But with his contract ending soon, he might be off. His agent, Joao Santos, says there are plenty of clubs who would love to have him.
Speaking to TV Play in Italy, Santos hinted that Jorginho might be heading back to his homeland with top clubs like Juventus, Lazio, and his old team Napoli are all keeping tabs on him.
Santos said: «Jorginho would suit Lazio more, for the presence of coach [Maurizio] Sarri who already knows his characteristics very well. But also Juve, who have a great director of sport like Cristiano Giuntoli, who he spent many years with at Napoli. I would not rule out a return to Napoli with new coach [Francesco] Calzona, who used to work with Sarri before that.»
If Jorginho does decide to join Lazio, he'll be back with Sarri, the coach who helped him play some of his best football at Napoli. This led Chelsea to spend big bucks to sign him when they hired Sarri back in 2018.
