Jurgen Klopp believes Liverpool have only themselves to blame after failing to return to the Premier League summit at Manchester United.
The Reds needed a late Mohamed Salah penalty to earn a 2-2 draw at Old Trafford on Sunday despite dominating for most of the game.
The visitors were ahead through a Luis Diaz strike following an alarmingly one-sided first half before Bruno Fernandes and Kobbie Mainoo struck twice for United after the interval.

Liverpool- who were beaten 4-3 at United in their FA Cup quarter-final three weeks ago - are now second to new leaders Arsenal on goal difference with champions Manchester City a point adrift.
And Klopp said: “You can say if we have that much dominance, then we should win the game, that’s true. But you are all are long enough in football that it doesn’t mean you will win, it just means you should.
“2-2, I’m not over the moon about it, I don’t think that’s the best result I’ve ever seen but I’m fine.”
Arsenal visit United on the penultimate weekend of the season, with Klopp admitting he will most likely be cheering on Liverpool’s bitter North West rivals.
“Probably if we are still around then it would be great (if United won),” he said. “But Arsenal is a good football team and if they (United) play like today Arsenal will win that game I’m 100% sure. I’m really sorry to say it but we should have won both games (against United) and didn’t. That’s our fault.”
