Tottenham are once more preparing for pre-season action after their game against Leicester City was cancelled due to a waterlogged pitch over the weekend.
It leaves Ange Postecoglou's side slightly behind schedule as they seek to prepare for the opening day Premier League fixture with Brentford which is now just under three weeks away. Before then they still have to face Shakhtar Donetsk and Barcelona but things haven't been smooth.
Lion City Sailors themselves are a late addition to the calendar for Spurs after Roma pulled out of a game but there is little room for complaints with all attention turning to gearing the squad up for action.
Luckily for Postecoglou, he is still able to rely on a near fully fit squad on the trip. Alongside summer additions Gugielmo Vicario, James Maddison and Manor Solomon, Spurs have no outstanding injury worries to be too concerned about.
«Everyone’s good,» Postecoglou said before the match. «Dane Scarlett is the one who has been struggling with a bit of injury. But he sort of trained this morning, he probably won't be available tomorrow.»
The youngster wasn't part of the team that was defeated by West Ham in the opening game and so far only game of the tour nearly two weeks ago. He was named in the squad for the match against Leicester but his fitness does not appear to be too much of an issue for Tottenham even if it does delay his readiness and sharpness slightly.
