The Women's Super League (WSL) might have taken a brief hiatus last weekend but a number of Liverpool players were still in action in this year's final round of international fixtures.
Sophie Roman Haug, fresh from being nominated for the WSL's Player of the Month award, has enjoyed mixed fortunes while on duty with Norway. The striker came off the bench to net in injury-time as Leif Gunnar Smerud's side scored four without reply against Portugal in the UEFA Women's Nations League. However, Haug enjoyed a less fruitful evening on Tuesday when she was a second-half substitute in Norway's 2-1 defeat to Marie Hobinger's Austria.
Hobinger starred for 92 minutes in Sankt Pölten, having also played more than an hour of Austria's 3-0 loss to France last Friday. And the duo are not the only Liverpool stars to have tasted defeat over the course of the last week.
