Liverpool 'ready to make' record Leroy Sane transfer bid as Mohamed Salah replacement
Liverpool have made Leroy Sane their primary target to replace Mohamed Salah, it has been suggested.
Jurgen Klopp's side were able to keep hold of Salah this summer despite Saudi Arabian side Al-Ittihad launching a lucrative bid for the prolific forward.
The Egyptian is under contract at Anfield until 2025, having agreed a three-year extension in 2022, though there are fears interest from the Middle East is likely to resurface at the end of the current season.
Al-Ittihad saw a £150milliion bid rejected for Salah at the start of September, though Liverpool may be tempted to reconsider their stance if a similar offer arrives next year.
Should the 2019 Champions League winner depart, the Mirror have stated Sane is top of the list for Liverpool as a like-for-like replacement. The report adds Klopp would "love" to bring the German to Anfield and would be prepared to pay a club-record fee to make this possible.
