Jason McAteer has expressed concerns that Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool exit could spark Virgil van Dijk, Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold's departures.
The Reds trio have been instrumental in the success of the German at Anfield. Alexander-Arnold emerged as an academy graduate and was handed his debut by Klopp, while Salah and Van Dijk were brought in to bolster the squad in 2017 and 2018, respectively.
On Friday, the Liverpool boss shocked the footballing world by revealing that he will be stepping down from his position at the end of the season after nine years. While the playing squad is littered with high-quality players and promising youngsters, there are question marks around the futures of some players as they creep towards the final 12 months of their deals.

Salah has faced interest from Saudi Arabia, particularly in the summer from Al-Ittihad. The looming threat of interest from the Middle East remains and the 31-year-old will be out of contract at Anfield at the end of next season alongside Van Dijk and Alexander-Arnold, whose deals expire in 2025.
McAteer has expressed worries that the trio could leave following Klopp's exit in the summer. He told beIN Sports: "Van Dijk signed for us (Liverpool) and puts it down to Klopp.
"But the other thing is players staying at the club. We know Mo Salah’s on the brink of possibly leaving at the end of the season and we don’t know how that’s going to pan out.
