Man Utd to target ex-Chelsea player as Casemiro replacement
Casemiro's future is uncertain at Manchester United, and the club have already begun to make the first moves in search of a possible replacement for the Brazilian ahead of next season.
With the former Real Madrid player's possible departure and the end of Sofyan Amrabat's loan move to Fiorentina, new Red Devils owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has put a former Chelsea player on his radar who he would consider a 'bargain' to bolster Erik ten Hag's midfield.
According to 'The Sun', both Jim Ratcliffe and David Brailsford are big admirers of Ross Barkley, who has played 33 games for England and has provided his current side Luton Town with three goals and three assists this season in 20 official appearances.
The England player is in great form for the Hatters but could leave in the event of relegation, and although he has a complex contract there could be ways of making a move at a low cost fee.
