Fulham boss Marco Silva has praised Armando Broja's potential but emphasised that he still needs to compete for his place in the team.
The Chelsea striker moved to Fulham on loan on deadline day and has featured for Silva's side twice, coming off the bench on both occasions. The 22-year-old's latest appearance came on Saturday during Fulham's 3-1 win over Bournemouth in the Premier League.
Rodrigo Muniz scored a brace for the home side against the Cherries, with Bobby De Cordova-Reid also getting on the scoresheet. Broja is yet to get off the mark for Fulham and Silva insists the young striker needs to compete for his place in the team.
When asked whether the Albanian should expect there to be competition for places, boss Silva said: “He knows that. I had a conversation yesterday with him about the situation, this is the Premier League.
“He has a lot of potential, we really believe in him. He was a player we looked at last summer as well and he knows that there will be competition for places. He only arrived last week before the Burnley game.”
After making the loan move to Fulham, Broja insisted he was «excited» to play for his new side. «It feels amazing. I'm really happy to be here and I can't wait to get started, meet the players and manager and play for the fans,» Broja said.
