Premier League referees are reportedly puzzled by Mark Clattenburg's role at Nottingham Forest.
The former official is set to question Paul Tierney's decision following Forest's defeat to Liverpool, which has left the club firmly in the midst of a relegation battle. Forest suffered their latest defeat at the City Ground on Saturday.
Referee Tierney made a controversial call by restarting the game and giving the ball to Liverpool's Caoimhin Kelleher, even though Forest had possession. Just under two minutes later, the Reds scored the winner.

Clattenburg's role at Forest has raised questions, as it was thought he would provide insight into referee decisions. However, his actions on Saturday suggest he will be leading the investigation into incorrect calls that cost Forest the match.
After the game, Tierney declined to speak with Clattenburg. Only staff members named on the official team bench list are permitted to talk to the referee post-match so the referee was well within his rights to do this.
Former Premier League referee Clattenburg has said he wants to talk with the Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PGMOL) after Tierney's mistake. The PGMOL has since admitted that Tierney made a wrong decision during the match.
Martin Cassidy, who is a former assistant referee and now runs Ref Support UK, is worried that Clattenburg might be used unfairly to create an acceptance around protesting refereeing decisions.
He told PA: "I genuinely fear that Clatts may be used like a puppet to give illegitimate behaviour credibility and by proxy justify ref abuse. I feel more clubs should call upon referees'
