Nathan Quarless is relishing the prospect of showing the world what he is capable of when he takes on Viddal Riley for the vacant English Cruiserweight title this weekend.
The unbeaten pair will put it all on the line when they meet at London’s historic York Hall on Saturday night on the undercard of Caroline Dubois' clash with Magali Rodriguez on Sky Sports. Quarless turned professional in March 2018 after boxing as an amateur at the famous Salisbury ABC.
The 28-year-old only had 19 fights during his time in the amateurs, but he still managed to be an ABA semi-finalist in 2016 and 2017, as well as winning the North of England title in 2016. And now, after 12 straight wins in the professional ranks, Quarless steps up to take on the much-talked-about Vidal in his own backyard for the English crown.
“It is in his hometown, but as an amateur, I never really boxed in Liverpool anyway,” he told the ECHO. “I was always going in the away corner or fighting in championships that weren’t in Liverpool.

“I have got the experience from the amateurs, and, at the end of the day, it is still a boxing ring, and it doesn't matter where it is.
“I have also got a good fan base coming down to watch me, so really, it will be no different to me boxing in Liverpool."
