Joe Gomez was excellent against West Ham United on Sunday and with Tottenham Hotspur to come away from home on Saturday evening, Stefan Bajcetic might be asked to step in as Trent Alexander-Arnold continues to shake off a hamstring complaint.
The Spanish youth returned after six months out injured last week and a run-out in the cup might be just what the doctor has ordered for Bajcetic. The question is how he can adapt to the new 'hybrid full-back' position that is being utilised by Klopp and his staff.
