Caoimhin Kelleher suffers nasty injury as Liverpool set to make goalkeeper decision
Caoimhin Kelleher is out of Liverpool's Europa League clash with Union Saint-Gilloise this evening after suffering a knee injury.
Kelleher, who was expected to start against the Belgian league leaders at Anfield, will be sidelined for several weeks after requiring 12 stitches in a cut following a training ground collision.
The goalkeeper has also been ruled out of the Republic of Ireland squad for their Euro 2024 qualifiers against Greece and Gibraltar later his month.

Kelleher played in Liverpool's 3-1 win at LASK in their group opener a fortnight ago, and also featured in the 3-1 League Cup win at home to Leicester City last Wednesday.
With Adrian not part of the Reds' Europa League squad, Alisson Becker is in line to start against Union tonight. Young trio Viteszslav Jaros, Marcelo Pitaluga and Fabian Mrozek are the other options, with at least one now being involved in the matchday squad.
"Caoimhin has got 12 stitches in a knee joint," said Ireland boss Stephen Kenny when announcing his country's latest squad on Thursday afternoon.
"Sometimes with stitches, if it's a calf or a thigh or a facial injury you can get on with it, but you can't if it's on the joint. It just reopens all the time. It's just unfortunate for him. He's played in the Europa League and would have played three weeks in a row if he played tonight (for Liverpool)."
