Liverpool's Premier League match against West Ham experienced a brief delay as referee Chris Kavanagh experienced a communications issue.
The match between the third and sixth-placed teams in the Premier League was due to kick-off at 2:00pm, but instead got underway at three minutes past the hour.
As the match is not being televised in the United Kingdom, that would have only added to the confusion for those waiting on updates outside of the ground.
As the two teams got into shape waiting for the whistle, Kavanagh was being helped by two of his assistants as he made sure his equipment was in working order.

The referee wears a microphone and earpiece in order to remain in constant contact with his assistants and fourth officials, who today are Mat Wilkes, Mark Scholes and Craig Pawson. It is also a requirement in order to discuss matters with the VAR and his assistant at Stockley Park, who for today's match are David Coote and Nick Greenhalgh.
Kavanagh's under-shirt wires were fiddled with until it was decided they were in place and there would be no hitch, allowing the match to get started as soon as possible.
The fact it was all in working order was evidenced by the fact the officials were able to come to a clear conclusion to hand the Reds an early penalty from which Mohamed Salah handed the hosts the lead.
